Who I am and What I do

My name is Jan Banks.  I’m a licensed Home Inspector for the state of Oklahoma and own Inside Out Home Inspection Services.  I do residential home inspections in the OKC metro to include a 50 mile radius.  I have over 20 years experience in the construction industry as an estimator, job superintendent and a licensed General Contractor.

I believe buying a house is one of the most stressful and largest decisions of your life and it does not get easier with each one.  My goal is to take one of those stresses away and give you the confidence you deserve in your buying purchase.

What you can Expect

I want to give you the peace of mind that someone has touched everything, opened everything and turned everything on.  I provide a detailed report with photos of all my findings.  I also include areas to be monitored and any maintenance items noted.  The areas inspected are listed under “What We Inspect.”  My attention to detail is what I’m most known for in the field, except for being a female (which is a fun surprise sometimes when folks are not expecting it)  I inspect every house like I was buying it for my own family.

In addition to standard inspection tools, I use an infrared camera.  This gives me additional insight into areas not seen by the naked eye.  I was one of the first inspectors in this area to use the camera and I’m Infrared Certified.  Find out more about infrared as a tool for home inspection.
